An engineered bike-like device with skis instead of wheels designed to be transported up the hill via a Ski Lift and to navigate downhill on the Ski runs.

Why pay more…with a SkiByk you get all the performance you'd expect at the price you need....Simple as that! There is a reason why, for the past 7 seasons SkiByk is the most sold ski bike in North America! Our perfect frame geometry provides a rising rate rear suspension, perfect for providing a stable yet nimble riding platform. Additionally, our front retention system, while simple in design provides the most adaptability for riding conditions, riding styles, aggressiveness, height, weight, etc. Additionally, our industry-first micro-adjusting front end will allow the rider to adjust the actual pitch of their front ski…simply put…you can add down-force on steeper hardpack conditions or upforce for softer conditions to the angle of the front ski…Adaptive to you, the conditions and your riding style. The SkiByk is easy to put together… In fact as an industry first and standard for our company, our SkiByk has always been 90% assembled when it arrives to you in the box. Simply assemble the fork and handlebars onto the frame, put on the saddle, thread in the pedals, and attach the skis. No special tools are required.
First, all Ski Bikes offered in the USA are made out of the same aluminum. They all offer a full-suspension ride…to insure our quality and be able to confidently stand behind our product, we fly every year to manufacturing overseas and spend a minimum of 5 days at the factory inspecting every SkiByk as it makes its way down the assembly line to final packing. (see the video from last year’s production run) We have spent hundreds of hours to insure, you the customer receive a quality product that lives up to the reviews and that we can stand behind. Although Ski Bikes, in one form or another have been around for a few decades in the USA…the sport was limited by a few factors…Acceptance at Ski Areas, lack of available product, high entry cost for the consumer and few manufacturers. This has and continues to change, more Ski Areas are opening their slopes to us and more manufacturers have driven the entry cost for new consumers wanting to get into the sport down! At SkiByk…Our goal is to provide and sell a high-quality Ski Bike that is affordable to everyone.
There's a big difference in frame geometry, our frame is designed to provide the SkiBiker with a comfortable riding position that makes the initiation of a carving turn somewhat effortless. By the time you add up costs such as Skis, Ski Mounts, Frame and your time…you will find that buying a SkiBike specifically designed for the slopes at $1189 is an affordable option
Due to the exceptional stability and the balanced center of gravity, the learning curve is short and much accelerated compared to skiing or snowboarding. Generally, within a few runs you'll be cruising and having fun with very little, if any, "downtime" The geometry of our SkiByk and the interface with the SkiByk Skis, was specifically designed to make the rider very comfortable with the turning process of our SkiByk. The initiation of a turn and the principle of a carve are identical whether you are on Skis, a Snowboard or a SkiByk
We designed the SkiByk to be an all-mountain ride for the masses, but if you are the type of rider that likes to upgrade componentry the SkiByk is designed for you as well. Our tapered Head tube is the same size and design of a standard Mountain Bike Head tube. Thus converting over to a high-end fork is as simple as swapping fork. The rear shock is 8.27 eye-to-eye and can be easily swapped out with little effort as well. Combine this with our low entry price you truly have the Swiss Army knife of SkiBikes.
Yes! The inherent characteristics of the bike allow you to navigate the mountain with a greater degree of control than with other snow-riding tools. The bikes have been around for 50 years and have an exemplary safety record.
Our SkiByk is designed to emulate the curve of the chairlift seat you just simply pull it up and SkiByk sits on the chairlift. That is our preferred method to load…some Ski Areas have different requirements for the load/unload process…it is a best practice to call your resort in advance if you are unfamiliar with their requirements. Just like skiing. Lean the bike sideways and dig the ski edges into the snow or a hockey stop as it is referred to in the snow sports world. Skiers and Snowboarders will find the principles of turning, stopping and carving apply to a SkiBike quite well.
Most of our SkiByk customers are able to ride all day and find themselves not as fatigued as a full day of Skiing or Snowboarding…this is due in part to our natural riding position and the full suspension we provide on our All-Mountain SkiByks. Many of our customers have previous injuries that preclude them from Skiing and/or Snowboarding and have found a Ski Bike is the answer to getting back on the slopes and Enjoying the Ride! As many of our customers have said…”the only thing that hurts after a day of Ski Biking are my cheeks from smiling so much!”.
