The SkiBike forums have been clamoring for a sub $1000 full suspension Ski Bike with legit performance.......My 17 years in the Skibike business cause me to predict that this will be the best selling Skibike of all time, and will be hugely instrumental in growing this sport.
The owner of the company was in constant contact with me, letting me know about the process, and the bikes even arrived a day early. These things are amazing. Don't hesitate to buy one!
This is my third ski bike. My first two bikes being conversions. The SkiByk is a very well-made machine. The geometry Really makes a huge difference from the past conversion bikes that I’ve had. Making it easy to carve out good turns. I’m a bigger rider. I’m 6 foot 240 pounds and the bike suits me well due to the adjustments in the suspension. I would just recommend finding a seat that suits you and what is comfortable for your body type. I would class myself as a intermediate rider. I did put this bike through the test and it passed with flying colors. The customer service at SkiByk has been absolutely awesome! They really strive to have good relations with their customers. I highly recommend this bike to anyone at any skill that wants to try a great new snow sport.

To all of our loyal customers, we at SkiByk, LLC want to thank you for your loyal support…4+ years ago, Alfie Fernandez (Co-Owner of SkiByk, LLC) designed and had fabricated the original prototype, after a meeting at Sierra-at-Tahoe, we decided to form a business and SkiByk was born. The prototyping and development processes were fun and challenging…there were times though that we questioned what we were doing. We had many changes to the original protype…but, we believed in our mission statement, stuck to the processes and through rider feedback, on the slope testing and a little luck we developed the SB100 SkiByk. Since then the SB100 has gone on to be the #1 selling SkiBike in the USA.
Our mission statement was simple back then: Grow the sport of SkiBiking, by providing consumers with a low-cost, high-quality SkiBike. We have held onto this mission statement and this past season, despite tariff increases imposed on us, we made the decision to hold the price of the SB100 at $989. Additionally, based on feedback from our loyal riders, released the SB200 SkiByk, featuring the RST Stitch front fork and custom die-cut skis. This model quickly became a favorite and we are almost sold out for the season of both the SB100 and SB200 models.
As with all companies, change and exploring new opportunities are the key to growth and success. This season SkiByk, LLC announced an exclusive distributorship in North America with Sledgehammer SkiBikes out of Austria. The Sledgehammer SkiBike is a very popular SkiBike in Europe and has a strong fan base here in the USA. We also launched our newest website WWW.SKIBIKE.COM to support this partnership with Sledgehammer. On this website you will find, SkiBikes, Skis and Accessories for SkiBikes. We are actively looking for products that will meet the demands of SkiBikers. Liberator Skis out of Utah, Catalyst Pedals by Pedaling Innovations, Soft Good Accessories by Snowblind SeamWorx out of Tahoe are examples of the types of products we want to help get out to SkiBikers. If you feel you have a product that could benefit SkiBikers and the sport, please email us at Chris@skibike.com. We hope all SkiBikers will agree that this horizontal expansion fits right in line with our updated mission statement: Grow the sport of SkiBiking, by providing consumers with low-cost, high-quality SkiBikes and Accessories.
Finally and something we are very excited to announce, we have made the decision to welcome our first official Team Rider Leif Larson. We first met Leif 3 seasons ago at a demo day we were having at Sierra-at-Tahoe in California. After an initial demo ride it was apparent that Leif was born to be a SkiBiker…he took to it immediately and ended up buying a demo SB100 SkiByk from us that very day. Since then, Leif has proven to be a tremendous advocate for the sport in general, he immediately volunteered to be a Rep for the American SkiBike Association (ASA) and is a true an ambassador for the sport to all he meets. Leif, currently rides an SB100 with an X-Fusion fork and the Liberator skis, if you have not seen the videos, Leif is no stranger to big air in the parks. He is a skilled rider, that goes out of his way to answer questions about SkiBikes and is welcoming to all SkiBikers in general. You can find Leif most weekends Enjoying the Ride at Sierra-At-Tahoe. He has worked closely with another ASA Rep in the California area Monte Hand. Together they have organized events, participated in contests and continue to be SkiBike ambassadors first, SkiBykers second. Please join us as we welcome Leif Larson as our first official Team Rider and watch for more videos and announcements to come.
It is an exciting time to be involved in the sport, if you own a SkiBike…get out and ride. While out riding we hope you are an ambassador to all, if you can get out to the many SkiBike Rallies that are being organized by riders, go! This is a great way to show Ski Areas we are a growing group. No matter what your level of riding is, enter a race if there is one close by you, trust me you will have fun. Finally, please join the American SkiBike Association…your nominal membership fee to this 501 C-3 non-profit goes a long way to help the all-volunteer group of SkiBiking enthusiasts to promote the sport and open access to more Ski areas around the country. Most importantly, wherever and whatever you ride for a SkiBike, we hope you enjoy the ride!
